Hello and Welcome

Are you looking for Change? Then perhaps I can help?

Four times a year the seasons change, therefore change is a natural part of our lives. However, often we relate to this as a source of distress rather than embracing this as a positive opportunity to acquire something new about our lives.

My name is Pauline Vonsild and I am a Counsellor in Wakefield (Newmillerdam), West Yorkshire. I offer short-term counselling, long term therapy, supervision, training and organisational development business consultancy and change management.

I am a Registered Counsellor and Accredited Member of BACP (Member No 024095), which means that I abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice and have qualified with a high standard of training. I have been providing counselling and supervision through the NHS for 11 years, as well as having managed psychological services. I am also NICE Trained and qualified to provide Counselling for Depression (CfD). I have additionally been in Private Practice for a further 9 years bringing my experience to some 20 years+ in total.

My approach to counselling is from a Client Centred perspective, which values empathic understanding and unconditional positive regard. I strive to provide an environment which is positive and non-judgemental, safe and trusting, enabling you to be who you really are within the counselling space in order to support your exploration of even the hardest of issues. I endeavour at all times to enable you to improve your well-being and self development. Where helpful and appropriate I will also use CBT skills where this will benefit a client's wellbeing.
